Principal's Message

Dear Miller School Families,
We have a fun-filled month planned for our Miller Eagles! As we continue our journey Around the World in 180 Days, our theme this month is “Eagles Uplift Each Other: Respect, Stand Tall, Fly High, and Say No to Bullying!” Throughout the month, we will focus on the importance of kindness, respect, inclusion, and standing up for ourselves and others. We want every Eagle to feel safe, valued, and supported as we work together to create a positive school community where everyone can SOAR!

We are kicking off the month this Monday by asking all students and staff to wear blue to Stand Up to Bullying! Wearing blue is a great way to show our commitment to kindness, friendship, and making Miller School a place where bullying has no place.

We have so many exciting activities and events planned for our students this month! Our Eagles will participate in the National Anthem Project, celebrate students being inducted into Safety Patrol, and enjoy School Picture Day and our much-anticipated Book Fair. We will also recognize Red Ribbon Week, promoting the importance of making healthy, safe, and positive choices.

As always, we appreciate your continued partnership and support. When families and school staff work together, we help our Eagles build strong relationships, develop compassion for others, and grow into confident, respectful leaders. Thank you for helping us reinforce these important values at home and in our community.

Let’s make it a wonderful month of kindness, friendship, and school pride. Remember, Miller Eagles stand tall, fly high, and uplift each other!  Together We S.O.A.R.!

Resepectfully,
The Miller School Administration

Bus Safey Week

Students in Ms. Bower and Mrs. Hillesheim's class had a busy week. In honor of National School Bus Safety Week, they created cards to thank their bus drivers for helping them travel safely to and from school each day. They also celebrated their Lexia achievements with certificates and a Lexia Lunch with Teacher.

Trunk or Treat

Miller teachers had a blast bringing their LEGO theme to life at this year’s Trunk or Treat! The display was built for fun, and we loved seeing our students and families join in on the Halloween excitement. It was a great night of community and memories that fit together perfectly!

Read Read Read

Miller School is currently reading! Teachers, counselors, paraprofessionals, and school nurses alike are all displaying the book title that they are currently reading. Staff will update the titles they are reading throughout the school year. These signs are displayed outside of classrooms and offices for all of the students to see how our Miller staff reads! We hope to foster a love of reading and literacy within our Miller students. Keep up the reading!

Flying

Mrs. Digneo, a local FAA engineer, came to visit Mrs. Cottelli and Mr. Williams' Science classes. She talked about aviation and what makes an airplane fly. Then the 5th graders designed two different types of paper airplanes and then had a contest on which design stayed in the air longer and discussed why.

SOARING BEYOND THE CLASSROOM

SOARing Beyond The Classroom
We are excited to launch a new initiative at Miller that celebrates the amazing accomplishments our students achieve outside of school! Our students are involved in so many meaningful activities in our community, and we want to recognize those moments that reflect dedication, perseverance, leadership, and growth.
This recognition is intended for significant accomplishments, achievements, or awards—such as earning a notable honor or being recognized by an organization, team, or program. Please fill out the SOARING FORM form below by the end of the month for the student to be recognized the following month.
Selected accomplishments will be highlighted on our TVs located throughout the building to help us celebrate our students’ hard work and successes. Thank you for partnering with us to lift up these special moments and help our Eagles continue to soar!
